Job summary

RED LINE PLASTICS LLC in Manitowoc, WI seeks a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to coordinate the receipt and distribution of products in and out of the facility. You will monitor materials, coordinate ship/rec movement, and respond to inquiries daily.

The role requires basic education and preferred shipping experience. Strong computer skills and the ability to operate in a manufacturing environment with PPE are essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience and/or Training: Prior shipping experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates: No requirements.
  • Technology/Computer Equipment: Ability to utilize computer platforms to access shipping information.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required records of products received and shipped.
  • Pack, label, schedule, and coordinate shipment of product out of the plant.
  • Schedule and monitor air or ground pickup and delivery.
  • Respond to customer or shipper inquiries regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment.
  • Examine products or materials to estimate quantities or weight and type of container required for storage or transport.
  • Strong computer skills, to navigate customer shipping portals.
  • Complete Amazon and small packages for daily orders.
  • Receiving small packages daily.

The primary result expected from this position is to coordinate receipt and distribution of products in and out of the facility. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will monitor materials and supplies and coordinate the movement of items to inventory and the movement of materials within the plant.

Physical and Mental Demands
  • This position is required to constantly stand and walk
  • It is necessary for this position to frequently climb stairs throughout the day
  • Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders may be required
  • Able to focus and work at a continuous pace for long periods of time
  • 15 to 25 lbs. frequent lifting
  • 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting
  • Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day-to-day functions
  • Must always demonstrate patience to successfully work through frustrating challenges and present oneself in a calm professional manner
  • Must have the ability to work with and around others
  • Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • May require longer than 8 hours depending on trucking or shipments

The main working environment for this position is a standard manufacturing plant environment.

The plant environment is climate controlled in some areas, however, will include exposure to heat and hot surfaces, cold, noise and odors. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas. There may also be intermittent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, and tool vibration.
