Job summary

SimplyMacs in South Beloit, IL is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to maintain inventory flow, handle inbound deliveries, prep devices for shipment, and support asset management in a fast-paced warehouse.

You will log serial numbers, use ERP/inventory systems, box sensitive tech securely, and ensure orders ship on time. This full-time role requires energy, reliability, and physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

About the Role:

Are you an organized, energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to help keep our fulfillment and asset operations running seamlessly. In this role, you will be the backbone of our operational flow - handling incoming hardware, prepping devices for safe shipment, maintaining accurate inventory tracking, and getting outgoing orders out the door on time. What You'll Do:

• Inbound Receiving & Unboxing: Accept daily incoming deliveries from carriers, inspect packages for damage, and log shipments according to internal procedures. Unload palletized inventory and move assets to testing tables for processing.
• Order Fulfillment & Secure Packaging: Carefully box and secure sensitive tech items for transit. Pre-assemble boxes and inflate protective air-cushion packaging to ensure items arrive safely.
• Device Prep & Cleaning: Perform physical detailing and cleaning on devices and accessories before final packaging to ensure high quality standards.
• Testing & Hardware Prep: Test and clean incoming chargers, cables, and accessories to verify functionality before they are packed or moved to active stock.
• ERP Asset Management: Use our internal ERP software to tag out assets, log serial numbers, and accurately update stage transitions from testing into live inventory.
• Workspace Optimization: Keep shipping stations stocked, organized, and clean. Help manage packaging materials and maintain a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

• Physical Ability: Comfortable lifting and moving boxes, equipment, or pallets weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Basic Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using inventory/ERP systems, scanning barcodes, and working with basic software tools (Excel/Word).
• Team Player: Great communication skills and a willingness to step in where needed during busy shipping rushes.

Helpful Experience (But Not Required!):

• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics fulfillment.
• Experience operating pallet jacks or handling bulk inventory shipments.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems, ERP platforms, or logistics software (e.g., FedEx, UPS ShipManager, ERP systems).

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Working in a clean, active warehouse/fulfillment environment.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:00PM

Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
