Job summary

PerkinElmer in New Haven is seeking a Shipping Manager to lead the development and management of a best-in-class shipping program for specimens and materials, coordinating with scientists and support staff to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and knowledge of shipping regulations. Experience with Coupa and invoice processes is advantageous for coordination across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–3 years related experience, or Associate’s degree with 1–2 years experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and prioritize efficiently.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and ability to liaise with scientists and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and ship samples and related materials from New Haven to destinations.
• Schedule shipments from New Haven, Cambridge, MA and Durham, NC.
• Liaise with scientists to understand shipping needs and timelines.
• Review and verify shipment paperwork for accuracy and communicate discrepancies.
• Maintain shipping certifications and support invoicing/coupa coding.
