Job summary

Panatrol, an industrial controls integrator near the Chicago area, seeks a Parts Coordinator to keep materials moving from purchasing through receiving, inventory, staging, and final shipment. You will work with Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and vendors to prevent shortages and ensure commitments are met.

Responsibilities include freight coordination, packing, labeling, and maintaining an organized receiving and staging area to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or related training preferred but not required.
• 2–4 years in shipping/logistics roles; manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Purchase Orders, Bills of Material, ERP/MRP systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate UPS/parcel, LTL, vendor-direct, dedicated, and specialized freight shipments for parts and equipment.
• Prepare and verify Bills of Lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and other shipment docs.
• Package, label, palletize, and secure materials for transport; assist with loading outbound freight.
• Maintain organized shipping/staging areas and strong relationships with carriers.
• Verify incoming material against POs and BOMs; record data in systems; identify shortages and coordinate corrections.
• Coordinate material placement into receiving, inventory, project staging, or production locations.
• Communicate material risks early to Purchasing/Operations to prevent delays.
• Back up purchasing tasks including pricing and supplier communications.
