Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler at our Chicago facility to safely move, stage, and load steel tube and pipe products while ensuring accuracy and safe handling practices.

You’ll operate forklifts and reach trucks, pick and pack customer orders, load trailers, inspect inbound materials, and keep the shipping area clean and organized. A high school diploma and 2+ years in a warehouse environment are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience in a manufacturing setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for accurate and timely shipment.
• Load finished products onto trailers or carriers according to shipping specs.
• Receive inbound materials, report damages, and rotate stock to maintain flow.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe staging/shipping areas; complete paperwork.
