Job summary

ATL-CHI Atlas Tube (Chicago), LLC is hiring a Shipping Material Handler in Chicago. You will safely move, stage, and load steel tube and pipe products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety practices in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
• Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Champion and follow safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials efficiently.
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders to ensure accurate and timely shipment.
• Load finished products onto flatbed trailers or LTL carriers according to shipping specifications.
• Receive and inspect inbound materials and report damages or discrepancies.
• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory to maintain proper material flow.
• Verify order accuracy using scanning tools and shipping documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe staging and shipping areas.
• Complete required shipping, inventory, and equipment inspection documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full‑time, predictable onsite attendance.

About the Role

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Shipping Material Handler to support shipping operations at our Chicago facility. In this role, you will safely move, stage, and load steel tube and pipe products while ensuring accuracy, organization, and adherence to safe material‑handling practices. Who You Are

Base Hourly Rate: $28.90 USD per hour + production incentive bonus
