Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is hiring a Shipper in Kansas City. You will handle material preparation, order fulfillment, and inventory control in a fast-paced steel tubing environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of warehouse experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment. Expect a first shift with onsite work and opportunities for growth within a stable manufacturing company.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Champion and enforce safe work practices.
• Prepare materials and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders with accuracy using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto trucks or carriers.
• Receive, inspect, and report damages to incoming materials.
• Replenish stock and rotate inventory.
• Standardize and optimize shipping/receiving procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

About the Role

As a Shipper at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory management. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys working with warehouse equipment.

Shift: First Shift - 6am - 2:30pm

What You’ll Do

• Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.
• Process and fulfill orders from customers and internal teams.
• Pick, pack, and stage orders, verifying accuracy using scanning tools.
• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.
• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting any damages.
• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory.
• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures for accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

Who You Are

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, preferably in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic math skills for accurate order processing; ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, problem‑solving ability, and high attention to detail.

Physical Abilities

• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Work environment includes a loud manufacturing/industrial setting.
