Job summary

Zekelman Industries, a leading steel pipe and tube manufacturer, is hiring an Expediter for Atlas Tube in Chicago, IL. You will coordinate material movement, assist with loading, and support efficient warehouse operations to ensure on-time customer orders.

The role requires at least 2 years in manufacturing or warehousing, familiarity with SAP, and strong teamwork and communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with a emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; military service considered equivalent to a two-year degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems such as SAP preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform basic computer functions.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist crane operators with truck loading by performing setup activities and checks.
• Perform visual inspections of materials prior to shipment for quality and accuracy.
• Support warehouse operations by understanding inventory flow and shipping requirements.
• Utilize basic computer systems and warehouse management software to support daily activities.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas according to policies.
• Assist with material handling including lifting, moving, and staging materials.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to boost efficiency.
• Follow all safety policies and regulatory requirements while performing duties.
• Maintain regular, full-time, on-site attendance as required.
