Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) at the Walker, MI plant. You will operate a forklift, move pallets and materials, and support plant flow while ensuring safety and accuracy in daily material handling tasks.

Responsibilities include inventory checks, stack and load materials, recharge batteries, and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous material handling experience is preferred.
• HiLo driving experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move pallets, skids, and materials to designated areas.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers as needed.
• Unload, stack, and organize materials on pallets or lifting devices.
• Recharge batteries or replace liquefied gas tanks on equipment.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, regulatory, and company procedures.
• Maintain accuracy and assist with process flow to meet customer needs.
