Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is hiring for a 1st Shift forklift/operator role at our Walker, MI plant. You will operate a Hi-Lo forklift, move and stage materials, and support safe, efficient plant flow while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include stacking, weighing, and delivering materials to designated areas, maintaining accurate inventory, and assisting with basic loading tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Stand 8–10 hours and perform essential duties.
• High School diploma or GED.
• One month related experience or training; or equivalent education.
• Hi-Lo forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in training and educational programs.
• Assist in continuous improvement activities.
• Shut down processes when needed to contain defects.
• Operate forklift to move materials and load/unload.
