Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Terrell, TX, is seeking a Shipping Machine Operator 1 to help prepare products for delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and bring dependable attendance and basic mechanical skills to the team.

You will assemble containers, label and pad items, weigh and measure, pack to specifications, perform clerical tasks on the shop floor computer and RF devices, and conduct inspections to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attendance.
• Some mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes, crates or containers.
• Label and mark containers, insert padding or lining to protect items during shipment.
• Weigh, measure and count product.
• Pack items according to shipping needs or supervisor specifications, ensuring crates/boxes are accurately packed.
• Complete clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment.
• Conduct inspections to examine products and ensure they meet specifications for quality and are not damaged.
