Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Shipping Loader/Unloader to prepare products for delivery. The role reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting with reliable attendance and basic mechanical skills.

Starting pay is $20 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading glass, assembling containers, packing shipments, and performing basic clerical tasks with RF equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand 8-10 hours per day on concrete floor.
• Ability to work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers.
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment.
• Weighing, measuring and counting product.
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications.
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment.
• Conducting inspections to examine products and ensure quality and undamaged.
