Job summary

Vytex Windows in Laurel, MD is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead outbound operations, oversee staging and loading of finished windows, and coordinate dealer and installer pickups. The role collaborates with Production, Purchasing, Receiving and Customer Service to meet KPIs, protect product quality, and control transportation costs.

The position requires 3+ years in shipping/logistics and 2+ years in supervision, OSHA knowledge, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

3+ years in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations.
2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe material handling practices.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Basic computer skills including email and Microsoft Office; able to learn FeneVision and related shipping apps.

Responsibilities

Oversee staging, inspection, loading, and scanning of finished windows; complete shipping paperwork.
Build and manage daily/weekly shipping schedules with Production, Purchasing, and Customer Service.
Ensure orders are complete, accurately labeled, and scanned when loaded.
Maintain organized docks and safe, efficient flow for loading and trucking.
Coordinate dealer partner and installer pickups; verify readiness and accuracy of orders.
Serve as primary contact for JB Hunt; coordinate daily truck plans and routes; manage third-party pickups.
