Job summary

Armada Staffing Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to support our Logistics Manager with daily outbound shipping. This office-based role involves scheduling with carriers, preparing paperwork and keeping shipment information accurate from warehouse release to final delivery.

You will book pickups, create bills of lading, process EDI orders, track shipments and assist with KPI reporting.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics or transportation coordination.
Experience with Bills of Lading, ASNs and EDI.
Familiarity with retail or customer routing guide compliance.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Comfortable with Excel and learning new shipping and EDI systems.
Clear communicator who can work with carriers and customers daily.

Responsibilities

Schedule outbound shipments and coordinate carrier pickups.
Book delivery appointments and ensure shipments follow customer routing guides.
Create Bills of Lading and process Advance Ship Notices (ASNs).
Process EDI orders and documents, and keep BOL software up to date.
Track shipments, update status and flag exceptions.
Assist with freight quotes and freight audits.
Maintain Proof of Delivery (POD) records, carrier files and shipping documentation.
Support KPI and transportation reporting.
Communicate with customers and carriers to keep orders moving on schedule.
