Job summary

International Paper in Northlake, IL is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to organize shipment plans and coordinate transportation to customers. The role focuses on maintaining dock flow and on-time delivery while working with internal teams to ensure accurate inventory and coordinated billing.

Candidates should have shipping experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, forklift/roll-grab familiarity, and proficiency with logistics systems.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with customers and internal teams.
• Shipping experience in high-speed manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience operating forklift/Roll-grab or similar equipment.
• Experience with logistics systems focusing on inventory management, load planning, bills of lading.
• Able to lift 5–30 lbs; assistance available for >30 lbs.
• Available to work 5:00a–1:00p, Mon–Fri, with occasional overtime/days.
• Willing to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Create shipment plans and arrange transportation for products to customers.
• Oversee outbound shipping to maintain efficient dock flow and on-time delivery.
• Communicate with internal customers to keep inventory accurate.
• Track product through production and shipment to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage shipments using customer web-based 3rd party logistics systems.
• Collaborate with accounting to resolve bill of lading discrepancies.
