Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Ohio is hiring a Shipping Loader/Unloader to prepare products for delivery in a fast-paced production setting. The role reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and requires good attendance, reliability, and basic mechanical skills.

Starting pay is $20 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading glass, packing, labeling, basic clerical tasks with RF equipment, and ensuring products meet quality specs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.

Responsibilities

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers.
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment.
• Weighing, measuring and counting product.
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed.
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment.
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged

What You’ll Get to Do
