Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a Shipping Loader/Unloader in the United States. The role focuses on preparing products for delivery under a shipping supervisor and requires reliable attendance and some mechanical skills.

Starting pay is $20 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading glass, boxing/crating, labeling, measuring, packing, clerical tasks on the shop floor, and quality inspections to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Stand 8–10 hours per day on concrete.
• Noise levels can be moderate to high.
• Plant climate conditions vary by region.

Responsibilities

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers.
• Labeling and marking containers; insert padding to protect items during shipment.
• Weighing, measuring and counting product.
• Packing items according to shipping needs; ensure crates/boxes are properly packed.
• Completing clerical tasks with shop floor computer and RF equipment.
• Conducting inspections to ensure products meet quality specs.

What You'll Get to Do

Shipping Loader/Unloader is focused on preparing our products for delivery and reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attendance and some mechanical skills.

Starting pay is $20 per hour.

Job responsibilities include:

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
• Weighing, measuring and counting product
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged

What We Are Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required
• Work performed inside a production environment
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high
• The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
