Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in the United States is hiring a Shipping Loader/Unloader to prepare glass and building products for delivery at our Ohio/Parma Heights facility. The role reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and suits someone with basic mechanical skills, strong attendance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Starting pay is $20 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, packaging, labeling, measuring, clerical tasks, and quality checks while

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
• The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)

Responsibilities

• On/off loading of glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily
• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
• Weighing, measuring and counting product
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damaged

What You'll Get to Do
