Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Conyers, GA is seeking a skilled Materials Handler to load, move and stage materials within the plant and yard, supporting safe production flow.

You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes, secure loads, document movements, and perform general yard duties. Onsite work with competitive benefits and opportunities to grow within Dover's Refrigeration and Food Equipment segment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Forklift experience or certification is required.
• Basic reading and writing skills needed.
• Ability to read and understand all job specifications.

Responsibilities

• Load Docks, Delivery Vehicles, and Shipping Containers by Hand or Power Trucks.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or manufacturing areas.
• Process, sort and stage cargo before loading to prevent damage from Inventory.
• Understand the Daily Operations of the shipping department.
• Certified Overhead Crane Operations 50,000 lb. capacity and Forklift up to 30,000 lb. capacity.
• Opens containers and loads materials into vehicles, securing with straps.
• Counts, weighs, and records units moved on daily production sheets.
