Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Peachtree City, GA is seeking a shipping associate to review work orders and select the correct pieces for shipment in the plant’s loading area. The role runs on 2nd shift, 5:00 pm–3:30 am, Monday–Friday with Saturday as needed.

You will lift heavy materials, push and pull carts, and transport 15–20 feet to the loading dock. Use scanners and computerized equipment to confirm orders and assist in loading trailers as required.

Qualifications

• May assist in loading trucks for shipment.

Job Overview

This role involves reviewing work orders and selecting the appropriate pieces for shipment in the shipping area of a Vinyl Window manufacturing plant.

Job Details

• Starting Salary: $18.00 per hour, $1 per hour shift differential
• Shift: 2nd shift 5:00 pm – 3:30 am, Monday–Friday (Saturday as needed)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read paperwork and review work orders; pull or select the appropriate pieces for shipment.
• Lift, push, and pull materials (windows, glass panes, and loaded carts).
• Place pieces on an L‑shaped cart and transport 15–20 feet to the loading dock.
• Review the work order to ensure all pieces are included; then load pieces into an outgoing trailer.
• May assist in loading trucks for shipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
• Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to frequently push/pull, bend at the waist/neck, kneel/squat, reach above and below shoulders, repeat hand/arm movements, grasp, and use foot controls to operate foot‑brake on rolling carts
• Can work well with others in a 2–3 person team
• Manually loading windows
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment and working with scanners
• Will require standing, walking, and working on concrete surfaces for long periods
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
