Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Loader in Monticello, IA. The role involves loading trucks, packaging parts, and ensuring safe shipment per procedures. You will assist with inventory, support production schedules, and help train new warehouse staff.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in a high-production setting. Forklift operation and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 years experience in high production manufacturing environment.
• Be willing to cross-train and be promotable.
• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

• Check, shuttle, move, and perform all essential functions of the Loader.
• Load trucks and place parts on trailers safely per procedures.
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading.
• Load and secure parts with appropriate packaging materials.
• Verify loads against freight bills and notify discrepancies.
• Provide on‑the‑job direction to new shipping/warehouse staff.
• Assist with inventory counts and maintain continuous improvement practices.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Pay range $18 - $21 per hour (based on experience)

Walk-In-Interview: Wednesday 11:00 am - 4:00 PM, walk‑ins welcome

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check, shuttle, move, and perform all essential functions of the Loader
• Loading trucks placeparts on trailers in a safe hauling manner in accordance with manufacturing procedures to ensure the product does not get damaged during shipment
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and capacity loading
• Packages parts using all types of crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment and for weighing trucks of items as required
• Responsible for each lift and decides when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load
• Check each load being made to assure that the job is complete
• Must expedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules
• Unload and check items against freight bills, packing lists, or shipping notices and make notations of damages, shortages, and other irregularities and notify Team Leader
• Gives on‑the‑job direction to new shipping/warehouse employees and/or others assisting in shipping/warehouse are
• Must be able to load/unload transfer trucks and load multi‑drop route trucks
• Assist with inventory counts as required
• Maintains continuous improvement practices in the work area
• May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader.
