Job summary

JBS Foods in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Shipping Lister – C Shift responsible for accurate case scaling, palletizing, order fulfillment, and safe operation of shipping equipment.

You will maintain inventory accuracy, assist with rework, and keep a clean, safe work area while loading trucks and operating forklift/pallet jack. English literacy and basic math are required, with ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
• Ability to pass Prove It test.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Valid forklift/pallet jack license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work in cold environments.
• Ability to learn new procedures (barcode scanner, stacking grids, equipment).
• Familiarity with computer systems.
• Variable hours; excellent attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform basic maintenance on auto scale and reweigh station.
• Stack 45–50 lb boxes repeatedly by product code.
• Assist with rework and case repair.
• Submit daily scale adjustment reports.
• Maintain sanitation of work area.
• Safely operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Load trucks by hand or equipment (up to 50 lbs per case).
• Accurately fill customer orders using Telxon.
• Report shipping issues to Supervisor or Lead.
