Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Grifton, NC is seeking a Shipping Forklift Operator to unload, move, and load lumber. This role requires safe operation of a gas forklift and adherence to production schedules. Starting pay is $18.57 per hour with full medical/dental/vision benefits, 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for career growth.

Work hours are typically 5:00pm–4:00am, Monday through Friday. We value safety, teamwork, and reliability; applicants must pass background checks and post-offer drug

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of forklift or mobile lift experience.
• Forklift operator certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a team to resolve issues and complete tasks.
• Basic math and basic computer skills required.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to work any shift, weekends, overtime, holidays as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial environment.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains a gas forklift to unload, move, store, stage, and load lumber.
• Maintains housekeeping in the production area, removing debris and lumber.
• Performs safe startup and shutdown of equipment in the area.
• Interprets work instructions and completes assigned tasks.
• Accurately counts units and records totals; communicates with team.
