Weyerhaeuser is recruiting for a Shipping Forklift Operator at our lumber manufacturing facility in Grifton, NC. The role involves unloading, moving, and loading lumber with a gas forklift, while maintaining safety and keeping production areas clean.

The position is full-time, entry-level, with a 5:00pm–4:00am schedule, starting rate $18.57 and opportunities for career development, plus a 401(k) match, extensive benefits, and company contributions toward retirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience operating forklifts or other mobile lift equipment.
• Able to work within a team to resolve issues and complete tasks.
• Able to perform basic math and computer skills.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and able to work any shift, weekends, overtime, holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains a gas forklift to unload, move, store, stage, load and unload.
• Interprets work instructions and completes tasks as delegated.
• Counts units and records totals.
• Maintains housekeeping of assigned production area—cleaning and debris removal.
• Ensures safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
• Communicates with team members and leadership to exchange information about position.
