Job summary

Weyerhaeuser Boise Distribution Center is seeking a Forklift Operator to move materials in the wood products yard. The role requires operating propane/gas forklifts, loading/unloading, and maintaining accurate shipping records. You’ll work a daytime shift, five days a week, outdoors, with safety as a top priority.

The position involves 55-65% manual labor, lifting and moving items up to 100 lbs, and using warehouse software (SAP or similar). Prior forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus a positive, learn-on-the-job attitude.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
• Able to work outside in variable weather and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products.
• Load and unload products and ensure accurate documentation of shipping and receiving.
• Perform basic math and count units for inventory accuracy.
• Maintain safety practices and wear required PPE.
• Support warehouse operations and adapt to workflow changes.

Under the direction of the Site Operations Manager and designated leaders, this position is responsible for all activities associated with the movement and handling of materials related to the wood products yard/warehouse.The wage for this position is $20.30 - $22.75 per hour. This is a first shift position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.Key Functions:Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stationsSafely load and unload productsEnsure accountability for personal safety and the safety of others by addressing any unsafe practices observedWear all personal protective equipment requiredAccurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplyingAccurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activitiesDevelop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operationsBe highly attentive and adaptive to workflows.Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.This is not an inside warehouse position.
