Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Storeroom Clerk/Coordinator at Greenville Lumber in Grifton, NC to support maintenance and operations teams. You will help maintain storeroom systems, manage parts availability, and ensure accurate inventory and safe working conditions.

The role involves receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, kitting, sourcing, ordering, and shipping, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and vendor coordination.

• Previous forklift operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, kitting, sourcing, ordering, shipping and obsolescence management of parts and spares.
• Maintain PPE and janitorial supply onsite inventory.
• Coordinate shipments and documentation; resolve supplier/payment issues with accounts payable.
• Support training to ensure compliance with storeroom/site policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, neat, clean and environmentally responsible work area.
• Participate in site Cost Team to maximize efficiencies and cost structure.

DescriptionWeyerhaeuser is seeking a talented, organized, and safety-conscious Storeroom Clerk to join the team at Greenville Lumber, Grifton, NC. As a Storeroom Coordinator, you will support the maintenance and operations teams to facilitate and improve storeroom systems and processes with a high level of energy, commitment, and follow through to help us achieve and exceed our commitments around safety, reliability, quality, and innovation.Key FunctionsParticipate in maintenance planning to ensure parts are available when they are requiredWork closely with vendors and suppliers in partnership to maintain critical target inventories and replenishment stockMaintain ethical and appropriate business relationships with vendors and suppliersPerform with a high level of initiative and constructive participation in storeroom and maintenance activities including receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, kitting, sourcing, ordering, shipping, obsolescence, critical spares, credit card reconciliation and computerized inventory accuracy and controlsManage PPE and janitorial supply onsite inventoryFacilitate shipments and documentationCoordinate and resolve payment issues with suppliers and accounts payableAssist with training to ensure compliance with storeroom/site policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, neat, clean and environmentally responsible work areaBe an active member of the site Cost Team, maximizing efficiencies and securing the best cost structure availableWork with procurement to be knowledgeable of delivery commitments and proactively investigate alternate sources of supplyQualificationsPrevious forklift operation experienceDemonstrated commitment to safe work behaviors and experience ensuring compliance with safety initiatives, company guidelines, and legal requirementsAdvanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, OutlookExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and electronic communication skillsAbility to adapt to and effectively communicate with a diverse team and various communication stylesDemonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors, etc.Ability to multi-task and thrive in a busy, fast-paced work environmentAble to perform all essential functions of an industrial environment, including lifting 2-20 pounds regularly, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, climbing steps/ladders, working from heights, standing or walking for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours or more, working in extreme temperatures, dust, and noise while wearing all safety equipmentFlexible with schedule and able to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and holidays as neededSuccessful completion of background check and post-offer pre-employment drug screenPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in storeroom coordination, purchasing, receiving, and/or inventory managementCMMS such as SAP experienceAbout Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
