Job summary

Weyerhaeuser Distribution in Gallatin, TN, seeks a Forklift and Building Materials Operator to move materials, load/unload goods, and perform outdoor manual labor. You’ll help document shipments, build product knowledge, and uphold safety standards in a growth-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs.
• Forklift operator experience.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions five days a week and occasional Saturdays.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-first mindset.
• Willingness to wear required safety gear and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane/gas forklifts to move building materials safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers and rail cars.
• Perform manual labor (55–65% of your day) in an outdoor environment.
• Accurately count, record, and document shipping/receiving activities.
• Develop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.
• Uphold safety standards and speak up when something doesn’t look right.
• Use basic math skills and computer systems to support daily operations.
