Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 2–4 years of shipping experience.
• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs and operate packing tools.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail; ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items for outgoing shipment and record shipments daily in ERP.
• Retrieve sales orders and verify quantity, part number, and shipping address.
• Select shipping methods and coordinate with UPS, FedEx or carriers.
• Arrange LTL and full container shipping and monitor cost effectiveness.
• Assemble or crate items as feasible and supervise outside crating services.
• Maintain shipping schedule to meet on-time performance targets.
