• Leads communications within shipping/receiving; schedules and coordinates both domestic and international freight forwarder transactions.
• Ensure freight forwarders are selected based on cost and delivery.
• Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping transactions in appropriate systems.
• Prepare boxes with labels for shipment and provide guidance to others in the shipping/receiving area.
• Communicate status of shipping/receiving activities to appropriate personnel.

Purpose & Scope: We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator at our Lenoir, NC facility. This role will p repare documentation, maintain records, and coordinate logistics for product shipment

• Leads communications within the Shipping/Receiving area. Schedules and Coordinates both Domestic and International freight forwarder transactions
• Ensures freight forwarders are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery
• Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping transaction in appropriate systems
• Prepare boxes with appropriate labels for shipment as required
• Provide guidance to others within the shipping/receiving area
• Communicates status of shipping/receiving activities to appropriate personnel
• Review open customer orders, create pick worksheets on an as needed basis to efficiently meet customer shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates
• Generate shipping output documents as required
• Generate customer invoicing upon shipping. Audit waiting-to-ship reports daily to ensure all invoicing is completed
• Coordinate the shipping of freight by contacting appropriate fright carriers
• Communicate shipping volumes and priorities closely Shipping Supervisor
• Maintain knowledge of current international import/export regulatory requirements

Working Conditions:

• Work in Plant environment, shipping dock, cold environment
