Peoria Production Shop Inc. is hiring a Shipping Clerk to post shipping information, prepare documents and labels, and maintain shipment records. The role involves ensuring accuracy of shipment data and timely dispatch of orders.

Responsibilities include processing UPS shipments, updating ERP screens, answering calls, and assigning invoice numbers while maintaining files and handling data entry tasks with basic office software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-year experience in shipping/receiving operations or data entry.
• Familiarization with shipping documentation preferred.
• Familiarization with the Electronic UPS System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prints sales orders and packing lists and types bill of ladings.
• Verifies that shipment information is correct.
• Prints labels for UPS shipments.
• Prepares and sends out UPS shipments.
• Maintains EWM or SAP dock screen for loaded/unloaded trailers.
• Answers telephone and provides information/assistance to the caller.
• Assigns invoice numbers to shipping documents.
• Produces load sheets for designated trailers.
• Establishes and maintains permanent files.
• Inputs data into computer system.
• Ships orders according to customer specifications.
• Regularly monitors incoming emails.
• Calls in extra trailers when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
