Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join a client in Fremont, California. This is a 6 month contract with potential to extend based on performance. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

The Clerk will prepare and process shipping documents, coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers, and maintain shipping records to ensure accurate, on-time delivery. Requirements: high school diploma, 2+ years in warehouse shipping, experience with LTL, parcel and freight, familiarity with FedEx Ship

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse shipping experience.
• Experience processing LTL, parcel, and freight shipments.
• Proficient in creating Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation.
• Experience using FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and other carrier shipping systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and carrier manifests.
• Support both domestic and international shipping.
• Verify shipment contents against orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate daily shipments with carriers and transportation providers.
• Load, unload, and inspect materials and products as needed.
• Track shipments and resolve delivery issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records within company systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Communicate shipment status and delivery information to internal teams and customers.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor shipping supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support warehouse operations and other logistics-related duties as assigned.
