Job summary

Case Farms Goldsboro Plant in Dudley, NC is seeking a Shipping Clerk to support the Shipping Office. You’ll maintain manifest logs, prepare bills of lading, complete USDA paperwork, and handle inbound/outbound communications with drivers, sales, customers, and plant operations.

You’ll also perform data entry and other admin duties as needed in a temp-friendly, team-oriented environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, office experience, and basic understanding of

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in an office setting is preferred.
Ability to work in sitting, standing, or alternating position.
Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to train others.
Basic understanding of the shipping process.

Responsibilities

Reports directly to Shipping Supervisor.
Maintains the Manifest logs, and keeps trailer information up to date.
Complete paperwork for USDA-certified loads (Kill Certificates).
Prepares bills of lading for outgoing trucks.
Handles Phone system in the Shipping office, taking calls from truck drivers, sales department, customers, plant operations, etc.
Performs Data Entry of shipping information into system.
Handles various office and administrative duties.
May be assigned various other duties or projects as needed.
