Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the 2nd shift (2PM–10PM) at our Walker, MI plant. The role supports order picking, labeling, and loading shipments while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a 70 wpm typing speed are preferred, with 2–3 years of shipping/manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, maintain accurate records in ERP, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of shipping or manufacturing experience.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to type at least 70 words per minute.
• Demonstrates accuracy, reliability and integrity in work.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Pull orders and re-palletize as needed.
• Label orders with destination labels.
• Verify order against pick list.
• Ensure trailers are docked and secured.
• Operate lift truck or hand truck to stage orders and load trucks.
• Verify loading order to pick list and shipper.
• Perform other warehouse functions as requested.
