Job summary

Job description

Job Purpose:To be successful in this role, an individual must satisfactorily perform the functions listed below. Performance will be measured in part by how effectively these responsibilities are fulfilled. This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned.Key Responsibilities:Stage, load, unload, and transport raw materials, components, and finished goods within a manufacturing environment.Prepare and verify outbound shipments by comparing contents to packing lists, bills of lading, and production documentation.Receive inbound materials, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation and system entry.Coordinate with Manufacturing, Production, and Quality departments to consolidate materials and prepare complete outbound shipments.Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts as required.Identify and report shipment issues, damages, shortages, or quality concerns to the Manufacturing Manager.Support production by fulfilling parts requests and emergency orders to minimize downtime.Follow all safety policies, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards, including proper use of PPE.Recommend and support process improvements related to shipping, receiving, material flow, and inventory accuracy.Assist with lean manufacturing initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and controlling costs.Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED required.Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience preferred.Valid driver’s license required.Forklift operation experience is preferred.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESThe ideal candidate should possess the following:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work independently.Solid math skills and basic analytical abilities.Computer proficiency, including experience using multiple programs and web platforms.Understanding of quality assurance principles.Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.Proactive problem-solving skills and sound decision-making.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described below are representative of those required for successful job performance.
