SUMMARY:

The Shipper is responsible for the boxing and processing of Pick Suggestions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Processing of all Exports, ASN, Freight, Pull/Pick parts throughout the warehouse while adhering to departmental processes and procedures. verifying customer specific packaging, shipment/ order tracking.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Prior experience in a shipping warehouse environment recommended
• UPS and/or FedEx shipping experience
• Computer Literate, experience of ERP Stock Control Systems
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-passed environment
• Basic math and counting skills
• Self-motivated
• Detail-oriented
• Achieve established boxing metric
• Must be a team player
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions
• Quality focused with a high emphasis on accuracy
• High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:

• Basic ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders.
• Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 Overview.
• Basic understanding of FIFO (First In – First Out) practices
• Knowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability as it pertains to boxing and processing orders.
• Basic computer skills
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook
• Basic understanding of shipping regulations including Exports and transportation
• Assists in training new employees in core skills of primary position.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process Pick Suggestions utilizing ERP system.
• Process ASN’s (Advanced Shipment Notifications), Export orders, Freight orders through ERP system and customer specified Portals
• Confirming Pick and Ship Work Orders
• Knowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability (GRN) as it pertains to Order Pulling.
• Box parts according to shipping instructions and/or special instructions.
• Ability to make barcodes and perform C of C functions.
• Receive and put away shipping supplies
• Ability to utilize weigh scale in the counting of parts
• Read, understand, and complete all Shipping Department documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis, ISO9001, and AS9100 standard.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.
