Job Description

Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC) is a manufacturer of Electromechanical Relays, Solid State Relays, Power Controllers, RF COAX Switches, and RF Matrix switching systems. Responsibilities
  1. Receiving & Storage: Accept and verify materials from receiving inspection, ensuring quantity, part numbers, and descriptions match paperwork. Organize and store materials neatly using FIFO (First In, First Out) techniques.
  2. Data Entry: Log received items by part number into the computer system.
  3. Inventory Management: Conduct daily cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and verify transactions.
  4. Attention to Detail: Count small parts accurately, using a microscope when necessary, to prevent errors through meticulous work.
  5. Material Handling: Store and distribute raw materials, component parts, subassemblies, and assemblies to support manufacturing processes.
  6. Production Support: Issue components to production lines as per schedule, maintaining necessary documentation.
  7. Documentation: Read and interpret part requests, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and order picking lists.
  8. Safety & Compliance: Ensure daily compliance with safety requirements and maintain a clean and organized stockroom.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.
  10. Teamwork & Training: Exhibit a positive attitude and assist in training other employees as needed.
  11. Communication: Quickly communicate issues to Work Leads, Supervisors, Quality, or Management.
Requirements
  • Legal: Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR restrictions.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a material handler, including receiving, inventory management, and material handling. Familiarity with kitting, material releasing, and cycle counting for inventory accuracy is essential.
  • Skills:
    • Experience using a microscope for detailed inspection of small parts.
    • Basic computer skills, including barcode scanning.
    • Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Ability to use MRP software; knowledge of Mapics/ERP is a plus.
    • Understanding of material measuring systems (weight, length, volume, each) and familiarity with fractions and decimals.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs).

Other: Strong communication skills and the ability to learn and follow company policies and procedures.

Note: Relocation is not offered for this position.

The salary range for this role is $42,800.00 - $57,100.00. When extending an offer, various factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, certifications, and skills are considered.
