Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Denton, TX seeks a team member for an industrial role involving material handling, shipping paperwork, and inventory tagging. You will work in a safety-conscious environment, use a forklift, verify shipments, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required.
• Inspect stock materials for uniformity and tag inventory as needed.
• Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading and notices.
• Prepare orders for shipment and complete all paperwork accurately.
• Tag, count, and manage bundles and active production tagging.

What You'll Do

• Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to work in various types of weather conditions which include extreme heat and cold
• Ensure stock materials are received from loader and inspected for uniformity and attachment of inventory tags, SAP tags, and partial tags on open bundles
• Verify incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, etc.
• Print tags on jobs for daily production
• Ensure bundle count and bundle tagging accuracy
• Tagging and flagging materials outside
• Preparing orders for shipment, complete all paperwork, and ensure accuracy of the order to ship
• Operate a forklift to move material and supplies as required

What You'll Need

• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision
• Driven individual with honesty and integrity
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced multi-discipline environment, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, organizational and listening skills

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
