Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Odessa, TX seeks a Warehouse Associate to direct yard activities, manage ticketed materials, and support customers and deliveries. You will log material data, verify documents, and ensure accurate weight and pricing of orders, while upholding safety and daily records.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in a storeroom/warehouse, and familiarity with inventory controls. Opportunities include training and advancement in a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct customers and deliveries as the first point of contact in the yard.
• Track ticketed materials, identify vehicles and people, and obtain required documentation.
• Assess weigh materials inbound/outbound and price tickets.
• Provide customer service and ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.
• Maintain records of contracts and deliveries and use SAP for daily tasks.

What You'll Do

• First point of contact in the yard - directs customers and deliveries
• Keeps track of ticketed materials, properly identifies vehicles and person, attains required legal documentation of customers
• Assesses weigh materials inbound and outbound into process area, and prices tickets
• Provide customer service, ensures customers specs and contract requirements are fulfilled
• Accurate record keeping of contract and deliveries
• Walk up customer service: driver's license or accurate documentation & back-up for materials sold
• Accurate identification of material to assign correct value
• Assesses by grade accurate weight of material orders and issues supplies for visitors and customers entering the yard
• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Champion a strong culture of safety throughout all warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
• Demonstrate dependability through consistent attendance andtimelycompletion of work.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties tomaintaina clean and organized warehouse.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Use warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP) to complete daily tasks.

What You'll Need

• Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• At least 2 years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse environment.
• Understanding of inventory control systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to learn all aspects of storeroom operations.
