Job Summary:

The Shipping clerk oversees and keeps records of all shipping and receiving. More specifically, they are responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Monitor scheduled loads and print paperwork in advance.
• Verify accuracy of all load documentation.
• Check in drivers upon arrival and enter required information into the system.
• Confirm with the supervisor/lead before processing completed loads and converting pick tickets to Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Convert and review completed load paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide drivers with the correct BOLs before departure.
• Monitor emails for additional documentation needed to complete BOLs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.

Education and Experience:

• High school required
• Minimum of 1-year previous experience
