Job summary

Latham, The Pool Company in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Shipping Associate for the 1st shift to support our warehouse and production operations. This on-site role focuses on accurate picking, packaging, and safe handling of goods, with attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities include maintaining packaging standards, updating the pick list, and assisting the production-to-warehouse flow. We value reliability, safety, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years shipping and warehouse experience with accuracy.
• Ability to operate a forklift or obtain license quickly.
• Strong data entry and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Pick correct product and quantity using pick list.
• Package product in staging lanes per Shipping Lead.
• Package according to Latham packaging standards.
• Sign pick list and hand to Warehouse Team Lead.
• Assist in moving product from production to staging area.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area with 5S practices.
• Follow all policies, QA programs, procedures and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

We are looking for a Shipping Associate for 1st shift

Some of What You Will Do:

• Pick correct product and quantity utilizing pick list.
• Package product in correct staging lane as designated by Shipping Lead.
• Package product appropriately utilizing Latham Pool Products packaging standards.
• Sign pick list and turn into Warehouse Team Lead.
• Assist in stacking product from production department to staging area.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment utilizing 5s.
• Adheres to company policies, quality assurance programs, procedures and safety standards.
• Other assignments as assigned by Manager.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

• Must have high school diploma or GED with 3-5 years shipping and warehouse experience.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Data entry skills with great attention to detail, basic reading and math skills
• Must be able to do heavy lifting and forklift experience required.
• Team player with the ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, generate reports as requested, and set and reach goals while meeting deadlines.
• Forklift license or ability to drive a forklift and attain a license quickly.
