Job summary

Latham, The Pool Company is hiring for a Packing/Shipping Assistant to handle shipping on time with the Shipping & Receiving team. You will prepare items in staging, assist with receiving goods, and ensure packaging conforms to standards.

Qualifications include 0-3 years of experience, strong communication, hands-on ability, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. The role is on-site in Plainfield with full-time, non-exempt status and a compensation range noted.

Responsibilities

• Assist team on placement of all products in correct staging lane for shipment.
• Verify orders in ERP to arrange for shipment with Team Lead.
• Ensure packaged product meets packaging standards.
• Move finished goods from production to storage and staging areas.
• Arrange for International Shipping.
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment.
• Follow company policies, QA programs, and safety standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

A little about the position:

Job Summary

This position will be responsible for all aspects of shipping products on time while working with the Shipping & Receiving team.To ensure product in staging area for inspection, packaging, and loading shipments. To assist with receiving of incoming goods.

Some of What You Will Do:

• Assiststeam on placement of all products in correct staging lane for shipment.
• Verify all with Team Lead all completed orders in ERP system(s) to arrange for shipment
• Ensure packaged product is appropriately completed utilizing Latham Pool Products’ packaging standards.
• Assist in marshalling finished goods from the production department to, storage, then staging area.
• Arrange for International Shipping.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Adheres to company policies, quality assurance programs, procedures, and safety standards.
• Other assignments as assigned by Manage.

What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)

• 0-3 years’ experience in machine operation of semi-automated machines, and the use of hand tools
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask, work on a team, work independently, and the ability to work with one’s hands
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, stand for 8-12 hour shifts,
• able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read basic English and have good communication skills
