Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Appleton WI is seeking a lead for shipping and receiving to manage daily operations and ensure accurate, timely movement of materials. The role requires coordinating inbound/outbound shipments and supervising the team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing experience, at least 2 years in shipping/receiving, and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments meeting customer delivery requirements and quality standards.
• Supervise and support shipping and receiving personnel, guiding workloads as needed.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and transaction processing.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth product flow.
• Monitor shipping schedules and resolve shipment discrepancies or delays.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records per procedures.
• Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
• Train team members on shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety procedures.

Job description

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00/HR

Duties:

• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
