Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Melville, NY. You will handle inbound and outbound processing, verify freight documents, and coordinate carrier pickups while maintaining inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inbound processing: verify incoming freight using BOLs and packing slips and enter data into WMS.
• Outbound processing: prepare shipping documents, manifests, and tracking labels and coordinate carrier pickups.
• Inventory accuracy: assist with inventory records and quick cycle counts.
• Staging and flow: manage inbound/outbound staging areas and ensure safe movement between docks and storage.
• Communication: act as primary contact for carriers and resolve minor documentation issues.

Job description

Master both sides of the supply chain! Become a shipping and receiving clerk and enjoy consistent pay with the benefit of a flexible schedule. We offer short-term mandates in high-volume distribution centers, allowing you to use your administrative and organizational skills to manage the entire material flow cycle from inbound verification to outbound carrier dispatch.

Your responsibilities:

• Inbound processing: accurately verify and reconcile incoming freight using bills of lading (bols) and packing slips, noting discrepancies and ensuring prompt data entry into the warehouse management system (wms).
• Outbound processing: generate all necessary shipping documents, manifests, and tracking labels for outbound orders, coordinating carrier pickups and ensuring compliance.
• Inventory accuracy: assist with maintaining inventory records, performing quick cycle counts or location checks in both receiving and shipping areas.
• Staging and flow: manage the staging areas for both inbound materials and finished goods, ensuring efficient and safe movement between dock doors and storage locations.
• Communication: serve as the primary contact for both incoming carriers (deliveries) and outgoing carriers (pickups), resolving minor documentation issues quickly.
