Job summary

Randstad USA in Guilford is seeking an experienced shipping and receiving candidate to join the team on the first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday). The role involves unloading, receiving, and staging materials, plus handling SAP-based inventory and RF scanning.

Qualified candidates will have prior shipping/receiving experience; no degree required. Pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits and a comprehensive package offered by Randstad.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Operations: unload freight, verify counts, inspect materials, record receipts against POs.
• Shipping & Distribution: prepare, pack, weigh, and stage materials; generate BOLs and packing slips.
• Material Handling & Equipment Operation: operate forklifts, side-loaders, cranes, pallet jacks.
• Inventory & ERP Processing: use SAP and RF scanners for receipts, transfers, returns, shipments.
• Quality & Compliance: inspect tagging/ labeling; report discrepancies.
• Logistics Coordination: coordinate with carriers and internal departments for timely dispatch.

Are you looking for your next career opportunity as in shipping and receiving? Our client in Guilford is looking to add an experienced shipping and receiving candidate to their team. Qualified candidates will have experience working in a shipping and receiving role in the past. This is a first shift position from 7am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday and is paying $20-$24/hr depending on your experience.

Responsibilities

• Receiving Operations: Unload freight, verify physical counts, inspect incoming raw materials for damage or non-conformance, and record receipts against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Shipping & Distribution: Prepare, pack, weigh, and stage materials for shipment. Generate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL), custom forms, packing slips, and delivery receipts.
• Material Handling & Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, side-loaders, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move and stage heavy metal inventory.
• Inventory & ERP Processing: Perform daily transactions using SAP and RF scanners to record goods receipts, inventory transfers, returns, and shipments.
• Quality & Compliance: Inspect products for proper tagging/labeling, segregate defective or damaged materials, and report discrepancies to purchasing or sales teams.
• Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with carriers, truck drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery schedules.
