Kelly Services is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Winchester, VA to ensure accurate preparation and timely delivery of shipments. The role covers packaging, labeling, verifying documents, and coordinating with carriers while supporting inventory tasks.

The position is contract-based with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential Saturday overtime. The candidate should have a high school diploma and basic computer skills; prior shipping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior shipping/logistics or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret invoices, packing lists, and shipping forms.
• Basic computer skills; experience with shipping software is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and label items for shipment.
• Verify outgoing shipments against orders, invoices, and packing lists.
• Record shipment details, including weights and costs.
• Coordinate carrier pickups and communicate shipment instructions.
• Maintain shipping records and related documentation.
• Track shipments and help resolve delivery issues.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, inventory control, and stock management.
• Operate shipping equipment such as scales, printers, and forklifts, as trained and authorized.
• Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate shipment status and special instructions to other departments.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Winchester, VA 22603

Position type: Contract

Pay: $19 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Saturday overtime as needed

Position Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk helps ensure shipments are prepared accurately and delivered on time. This role includes packaging and labeling outgoing orders, verifying shipment information, maintaining records, coordinating with carriers, and assisting with receiving and inventory tasks.
