Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill customer orders by accurately picking, packing, and shipping products using FedEx and DHL systems.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify order accuracy, and inspect parts and equipment for damage.
• Organize, label, and stock inventory in the warehouse to ensure easy access and proper rotation.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for customers and field technicians in a timely and accurate manner.
• Create shipping labels and documentation for parcel and freight shipments using appropriate carrier and system tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts using basic computer systems and participate in inventory control activities.
• Assist with preparing parts kits for service jobs and equipment installations to support technicians and service staff.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards and company procedures.
• Communicate professionally with internal team members and support staff to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
• Participate in cycle counts and general inventory organization to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
• Handle material movement within the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and staging parts and boxes as needed.
• Use RF scanners or similar tools to track inventory, document movement, and update records.

A growing manufacturing and service operation in the Fairfield area is seeking a dependable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and parts-handling activities. This role is ideal for someone organized, hands-on, and comfortable working in a small team environment. You will play a key role in keeping parts, inventory, and shipments moving smoothly by supporting technicians, handling incoming equipment, and helping maintain an efficient parts operation.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory control roles is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with inventory, kitting, picking, packing, and material handling in a warehouse environment.
• Computer literacy, including basic email use and simple data entry.
• Experience working with FedEx and DHL shipping systems or similar carrier platforms.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory or order processing is preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and organize parts and boxes as needed to perform daily warehouse tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders, inventory, and documentation.
• Reliable, punctual work habits and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in a small team environment and supporting multiple departments.
• Effective communication skills to interact with technicians, support staff, and other internal team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking is a plus.
• Interest in mechanical or industrial equipment is helpful but not required.
• Prior experience creating shipping labels and documentation for parcel and freight shipments.
• Experience in logistics or distribution environments is beneficial.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new warehouse systems and processes.

Work Environment

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with full‑time hours. The workspace is organized to support efficient inventory flow and is maintained to comply with safety standards, requiring attention to cleanliness and safe material handling practices.

This is a Contract position based out of Fairfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
