Job summary

Maynard Inc. is seeking a Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Material Control Lead to oversee materials flow, receiving, storage, and shipping across our Northwest Arkansas facility.

You will ensure accuracy, traceability, and timely movements of products and materials. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead a team while coordinating with multiple departments to keep operations moving efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, material control, or logistics.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to operate computers and inventory systems and material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to read packing lists, purchase orders, shipping docs, work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and material control activities.
  • Receive, inspect, identify, and document incoming materials, parts, and supplies.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, paperwork, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.
  • Prepare, package, label, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
  • Work with freight carriers and transportation providers to arrange deliveries, pickups, and shipments.
  • Maintain accurate physical and electronic inventory records.
  • Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits as needed.
  • Ensure proper product and material traceability throughout the facility.
  • Properly store and organize materials to maximize space, accessibility, safety, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate the movement and allocation of materials between receiving, inventory, production, and shipping.
  • Monitor material availability and communicate material shortages, discrepancies, or delays to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with material control and production support to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shipping issues, and receiving problems.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and material control records and documentation.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining organized material storage and inventory locations.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Help ensure shipping and receiving areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and work instructions.
  • Provide direction and support to other employees involved in shipping, receiving, inventory, and material movement as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Purchasing, Quality, Contracts, and other departments to keep materials and products moving efficiently.
  • Assist with other shipping, receiving, inventory, and material control duties as needed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday. General start and finish time is 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, but this can be discussed.

Job Description

Maynard Inc is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Material Control Lead to support our manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and products are properly received, identified, stored, tracked, controlled, and shipped throughout the organization.

The Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Material Control Lead will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day flow of materials and products through receiving, inventory, material control, and shipping. This includes maintaining accurate inventory counts, ensuring product and material traceability, coordinating the movement of materials throughout the facility, and supporting efficient shipping and receiving operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual should be comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, identifying problems, communicating effectively with other departments, and making decisions to keep materials and products moving efficiently.

Responsibilities will include receiving incoming materials and products, verifying quantities and documentation, maintaining inventory accuracy, organizing and properly storing materials, preparing and coordinating shipments, working with carriers, arranging deliveries and pickups, and maintaining accurate physical and electronic records.

The Lead will also assist with material control and production support, ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed. This position requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

Knowledge and Qualifications Requirements
  • Shipping, receiving, inventory, material control, logistics, or material handling experience required.
  • Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to use computers, inventory systems, scales, barcode printers, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as packing lists, purchase orders, shipping documents, work orders, and basic blueprints.
  • Ability to accurately audit inventory using stock reports and physical counts.
  • Ability to utilize basic math skills to verify incoming and outgoing quantities and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions and resolve routine problems.
  • Ability to deal with problems, changing priorities, and on-the-fly changes in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide direction and support to other team members when needed.
