Job summary

Maynard Inc. in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a Finish Technician to ensure machined parts meet strict quality standards for appearance, fit, and form.

You will deburr parts, remove sharp edges using hand tools and pneumatic equipment, and apply finishing techniques. The role requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Read blueprints and process specifications.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and deburr machined parts to meet quality specs.
  • Use hand tools, grinders, deburring wheels, sanders and files to finish components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions for accuracy.
  • Visually inspect parts for surface defects, sharp edges, and irregularities.
  • Follow detailed procedures to complete work and maintain clean, organized spaces.
  • Maintain tools and assist with inventory needs; document work.

Job description

Job Type:Full-time
Pay:Dependent on merit and productivity:$20.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule:Monday through Friday, withovertime available. General start and finish time is6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, but this can be discussed.

The Finish Technician is responsible formaintaining tools,documenting work, supportinginventoryneeds, and upholding strictsafetyandcleanlinessstandards. Ideal candidates have strongmanual dexterity,technical skill, aneye for detail, and the ability tocollaborateeffectively in a fast-paced production environment. A commitment tocontinuous improvementand contributing to ahigh-performing manufacturing teamis essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and deburr machined partsto meet internal and customer quality specifications
  • Usehand tools, grinders, deburring wheels, sanders, and filesto finish components
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructionsto ensure accuracy and conformance
  • Visually inspect partsfor surface defects, sharp edges, and irregularities
  • Follow detailed instructions to complete work per established procedures
  • Maintainclean and organized workspaces, perform minor maintenance on tools
  • Collaborate with machine operators, inspectors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Accurately document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Ability toread blueprints, technical drawings, andprocess specifications
  • Familiarity withmeasuring tools(calipers, micrometers, etc.) is preferred
  • Excellentattention to detailand manual dexterity
  • Strongwork ethic, self-initiative, and a desire to learn
