Job summary

VALCO is seeking a Full-Time Shipper for its Coldwater, Ohio facility. 2nd shift hours are 4:30pm-3am with a $2.50 shift differential. Competitive wages include a top out of $28.06 and generous PTO after 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities include loading orders for motor freight, UPS and customer pickup, staging, communication with supervision, and accurate paperwork. Qualifications include a valid forklift certification and driver's license, basic math skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Able to read and properly complete all required paperwork.
• Good visualization of load and packaging needs.
• Experience with warehouse or shipping operations is a plus.
• Must have forklift certification and valid driver's license.

• Communicate with DC supervision on status of orders and changes.
• Ensure orders are safely packaged and properly loaded to prevent damage.
• Assist customers and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
• Complete required paperwork and computer transactions accurately and promptly.
• Follow safety requirements and keep areas neat and orderly.

*COMPETITIVE WAGES- Top out pay of $28.06; starting wages depend on experience; $2.50 shift differential for 2nd shift

This position is responsible for:

• Prepare and load orders for motor freight (Truck Load and Less and Truck Load), UPS service and customer pick-up as required in a timely and efficient manner.
• Organize staging and loading of customer orders
• Communicate with DC Supervision on status of all customer orders and any changes or adjustments required to them
• Check that orders are safely packaged and properly loaded to prevent damage during shipment.
• Assist customers and visitors in a courteous and timely manner.
• Understand and complete all required paperwork and computer transactions correctly and timely.
• Follow all safety requirements and keep areas neat and orderly.

Requirements:

• Valid Forklift and Driver License.
• Good working knowledge of company computer system and products.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to successfully and courteously interface with others.
• Must have good organizational and decision making skills.
• Able to read and properly complete all required paperwork.
