100Hires, Inc. is seeking a seasoned shipyard foreman to lead marine production, coordinating welders, fitters, tackers and helpers to deliver safe, high‑quality structural work on schedule.

You will translate drawings and work instructions, assign daily tasks, monitor safety and quality, and coach crew members. Requires 3+ years shipyard foreman experience and familiarity with JSAs and hot-work procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of shipyard experience.
  • 3+ years in a foreman/supervisory capacity leading marine production crews.
  • Strong foundation in marine fabrication, structural fitting, and/or welding.
  • Proven ability to organize manpower and assign daily production work.
  • Fluency with drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of JSAs, hot‑work procedures, and shipyard production requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Kick off the shift with JSAs, hot‑work reviews, and safety briefs; reinforce shipyard safety practices throughout the day.
  • Assign and rebalance manpower to hit production targets while upholding quality standards.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications; clarify fit‑up, sequence, and tolerances for your team.
  • Inspect work-in-process; monitor safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and overall crew performance.
  • Communicate progress and issues to management; remove roadblocks and coach craft personnel.

Lead from the deck — shape the build, protect the crew, and keep the line movingAs the day breaks over the dry dock, you’re the first to walk the blocks. You scan hull sections, check the hot-work areas, and gather your leads. Your charge: guide a multidisciplinary crew and deliver safe, high‑quality structural work on schedule.In this foreman role, you orchestrate marine production across welders, structural fitters, tackers, helpers, firewatches, and other skilled trades.
